    1. hey,
Sounds fun! yeh - there is a hotel & hostel at Monessie Bridge, you can cross the footbridge and walk up the path to the A86. The bus can also pull-in to Moy Bridge at the end of Loch Laggan proper. Laggan obviously has the main road kicking through it so easily accessed. You may prefer to get picked up at Feagour to avoid a small stretch of busy road walking. Insh watersports has a nice bar/canteen with views out over loch Insh. Easily accessed via Kincriag. Make sure you check out the Fank Bruce Sculpture park - a short walk along the route from Insh. Have fun!

  3. Doing the walk in May. Is it possible to shorten the Tulloch to Wolftrax section by heading East from the station bunkhouse and crossing over the dam, rather than retracing part of the previous day's route?

  4. Does a 'best mark' currently exist for running the entire length as a relay team of 7?

  6. My Husband & I are walking the route in June. We were hoping to shorten section 3, Inverlair to Feagour, by using Moy Bridge. Would this be possible? (we have transport arranged so that shouldn't be a problem). Many thanks, Linda

  7. Is it possible to ride this route with a horse or are there any locked gates, stiles which would make it impassable? Is it waymarked and easy to find the way?

  8. Is there a bridge or stepping stones at NN 31358 80775 or is it a ford. Any ideas on depth in winter?

  9. The Newtonmore Community Woodland Development Trust maintain the path out of Newtonmore that leads from the A86 along the Allt Lataidh river. We have had to close this section due to sever erosion. The the alternative is the unclassified stone road which leads on the Curlew trail and the Kingussie.

  10. Hi there
Can you help me i am thinking about starting to walk the EHW end of march this year, i have looked at you tube videos the second section from spean bridge to inverlair seems to run through a farm yard that has locked gates this is shown on one of the videos and mentioned in another the farm is called Monessia farm.

i am just wondering is there an access problem here? is it ok just to climb over the gate? also worried about dogs in the farm yard.

Is it possible to bypass this farm section if necessary?

    Regards
    Ian Mobberley
